Bottom Morphology of Southern Lake Champlain; Larrabee's Point to Chipman Point

Basic Information
Author: Hollistir S. Hodson
Description:Many reflectors on high-resolution profiles result from the interference of fine-scale sediment layers rather than distinct lithologic horizons. Synthetic seismograms allow a detailed correlation between these high resolution seismic records and observed or measured physical properties of core sediments. Such a correlation provides insight into both the nature of the reflectors as well as the characteristics of the insonified sediments. Student paper presented in the Vermont Geological Society quarterly newsletter - Green Mountain Geologist, Spring 1993. Volume 20, Number 1, page 7 of 63 in PDF.
