Description:This report describes the bedrock geology of an area on the eastern side of the Green Mountains in parts of the towns of Stowe, Morristown and Waterbury, Vermont (See Figure 1). The rocks are of late Precambrian to Ordovician age (roughly 600 million to 438 million years before present) and were originally deposited as sediments on what was then the eastern shore of North America.
