A Re-evaluation of the Stratigraphy and Sedimentology of the Day Point Formation; Chazy Group

Description:Many reflectors on high-resolution profiles result from the interference of fine-scale sediment layers rather than distinct lithologic horizons. Synthetic seismograms allow a detailed correlation between these high resolution seismic records and observed or measured physical properties of core sediments. Such a correlation provides insight into both the nature of the reflectors as well as the characteristics of the insonifled sediments.
